Gargoyle
_
What is its motivation?
It is a collector.
It likes to play games, and the graveyard is its playground.
This idea of a game displays its sinister scheme, like a predator with its prey.
The gargoyle is indulgent in the chase
This graveyard is its domain, and has been for centuries.
With Klaus so desperately trying to reach the gate we are told the Gargoyle cannot exit the gate and therefore is bound to the limitations of the graveyard. As duty as the ‘Guardian’ it cannot stray from the grounds or its duties.
Research
Reptile videos- great to show movement, cold-blooded creatures interesting idea that Gargoyle cold stone would come into this category.
Predator and prey videos, e.g., lion chasing gazelles etc.-
observe how they treat their prey when they’ve:
1. First spot the prey.
2. When they chase it.
3. When the prey is caught.
Do they play with their food? How do they act around their catch?
